Thought tonight was a pretty great show all around.

Luke - unfortunately, what an awful start to the show, it really wasn't good, and just seeing the recap at the end, didn't like the "wake me up" bit. Bad bad bad.

David A - I agree with Simon, it was quite gloomy, and he should've stayed at the piano, but he's so cute and loveable and has a good voice. Again, agree with Simon about showing fun side to him, I think his song two weeks ago was brilliant.

Danny - Loved his song, and loved the attitude that came with it. I love Danny's personality and he does actually have a good voice to go with it.

David H - Undoubted has a brilliant voice, was an odd choice of song. Don't like he how puts so many riffs in his singing, but the big notes were really on.

Michael - Loved his performance, loved the song, loved the bouncing, and he hit every note. Brilliant.

David C - It was one of the performances where I go 'what is this song?........OMG.... It's Hello!" I thought it was stunning and like Randy said, could be a hit single now, really great. Love his little crooked smile when he sings too.

Jason - Great performance again, wish that there had been more backing to it, still, good vocals. I love his timidity and his querkiness

Chikeze - Good vocals, but again, I agree with Simon, he seems to be stuck in time and isn't making things very current. I think this was quite a safe song for him to sing too. He should've taken a bigger risk.

For me personally, I have 3 in the bottom and would be happy for any of them to leave. Luke, David H, and Chikeze.

The other 5 are quality singers and performers.

Really enjoyed tonights show. If it was based on talent Danny and Luke would go this week. But I think that it will be Luke and Chikezie.

Best for me tonight was David Cook he rocked a song that I didnt like but I would sure buy it if it came out on CD in his style.

As for who is going hopefully this week for me would be Danny, Luke, Kady and Kristy.

The guys were all good, as Paula tried to say: the ones left are all distinctive in their own right, whereas some of the girls don't stand out from each other.

Luke - I like him but he would be more suited to singing in musicals. This was not showstopping and he is the most likely to go.

David A - bit disappointed this week, every week you need to top what you did before and he didn't. He is safe, heck he is a likely finalist, but we may bore of him before then if all his performances are this samey. He appears to be singing at his top stretch now with no more to come: having watched him on YouTube I realise he was a child talent contest/TV show regular: he's been ruthlessly and professionally moulded for years - so the fresh, cute thing is a bit of an act.

Danny - rubbish, a mess, a proper little madam out of her depth if ever there was one. This took me back to the bad old days of ITV talent shows. He is this year's Sanjaya so I expect we will be stuck with him.

David H - kind of a cold performer but this guy nails each of this songs with showstopping moments every week. If it were radio he would be walking it probably. I hope he stays and is not voted out because of the ridiculous hypocritical moralising going on in the USA.

Michael - time to do something else, all his performances are the same, good, but the same, he needs to break out. Assuming Danny is not going to be voted out, Michael could be vulnerable.

David C - wow, now that's how to win a singing competition. A superb exercise in reworking a tired old hit into something unexpected plus showed he can really work a song and hit some impressive notes.

Jason - can't stand this guy when he is being interviewed, comes across as a dork yet when he sings like this he is seriously and intellectually impressive, really beautiful.

Chikeze - lovely guy with a very rich, melodic voice but this song choice did him no favours. He just isn't cool or where it's at exactly, but cheesey works on this show so I hope he stays longer. He could go this week, but his charm might keep him in.

I enjoyed tonights show, though did Paula even manage to finish a sentence at all
David Cook and Jason Castro (apart from that horrendous final note) were the best of the night
David A sang well but I found myself going off him a bit what was all that crap at the end about the homeless
Michael seems to be sleep walking through the competition
Chikize I actually thought sounded alright but I don't think he's going to get very far could be out this week
And please let Luke go he's been horrible every week, I was embarrased for the guy tonight

Luke and Danny should be eliminated.

The three Davids, Chikezie, Jason and Michael are way ahead of them.

Totally agree, particularly about Paula, what is the point of her being there? She can barely make any sense at all and was jumping up and down as if she had a spring loaded backside! No wonder Simon looks so pi***d off with her all the time.

Am just catching up on last night's programme. I think Luke is the worst bloke they've ever put through - his voice is terrible - I wonder what those that narrowly missed out are thinking watching him!

This has probably been mentioned elsewhere in the thread, but I loved when Randy gave Simon a signal to show him he was doing his hand on the side of his head thing again.

Yeah I really liked that from Amanda. She had the wrong song last week (great song but it doesn't work in that way).

The competition definitely needs her to add some variety.
