On Saturday the 26th, theres Cricket on during Brookies regular timeslot.

Although a new slot has not yet been found officially, I bet it'll be Tuesday the 29th, where there is conveniently a free 90 minute slot from 23:10.

Thanx Chris

If we believe the rumours, it will be on in that time slot.

According to Channel 4 it is, but i'm sure the time will change a few more times before it ends!

This awful time slot is a prime example of how little Channel 4 care for Brookside now. I think creator Phil Redmond has a very good point in saying that it is Channel 4 that has changed and not Brookside. Okay, Brookside is poor at the moment in terms of storylines, but Channel 4 could at least give it more time to prove itself in it's original 8.30pm slot. For Channel 4 to schedule Brookie late at night when the Cricket is on, they may as well pull the plug on it now so to speak if this is the way they are going to treat the soap.

Very true. It wasn't long ago that Brookside was Channel 4's biggest ratings puller, and then they treat it like this. Channel 4 have carefully engineered Brookies downfall, by imposing sesantional storylines which helped get rid of some of the audience, and also constantly moving it around in the schedules which got rid of most of the rest of the audience.

Channel 4 havn't really wanted Brookside since 1998. Channel 5 is rumoured to have tried to get Brookside from C4 before it launched in 1997. Shame they didn't launch a year later when C4 would have probably gladly sold it to five and perhaps Brookside would still be going strong now.
