The Women will either love him to bits, or make mincemeat of him!!!

Summary of Chris' interview, for anyone who wants to know what was said

Well the first thing he said was that he was intimidated by the Loose Women

Then they were talking about the props - he said they didn't have a choice on props and originally he thought they just had the suitcase and when they were told they had the table as well he was like "Oh God...."
Also they put wood in the suitcase so that it didn't collapse.

Then they asked him if he had an advantage having skated before...
He said originally when he was asked to do DOI he thought he'd be fine but it was really difficult with the figure skates and the toe picks caused him to fall a lot.
He said he knows how hard Gareth, Suzanne and Zaraah are training so he knows how they feel when they get injured.

He then said he's not bothered about winning - he just wants to get to the final so that he can do the flying. He also said that he just focuses on his own performance and tries not to worry what anyone else is doing.

He's signed up to Hollyoaks until March 2009 and he's doing the Friday, Saturday and Sunday shows of the DOI tour, so he's got a lot of work on!

He said it's not natural to wear a g-string and because the trousers are so tight you would be able to see everything, so he pads it all out But he also said that you just have to embrace the costumes because it's all part of the show.

Thanks for the summary donna saved me a job .

I watched it and even if i wasn't a big fan of his i don't know how anyone could ever call him arrogant after watching that. Such a nice down to earth lad and clearly all the LW loved him as well.

Turned the telly on just in time to see his interview! He was so lovely. Thought it was funny when they asked him if he ever said no, and he said '...Sometimes!'.

It was just after he was saying he felt intimidated, I think they were insinuating that he would never turn down a bit of horizontal shuffling.

I didn't watch it but I've seen other interviews with him. He seems very likable. I think he and Frankie come across as being *reeeeeeeeeally* competative and a bit cocky on the show, but I think that's partly down to editing. (And Frankie's over-excitement!)

However, I don't believe that 'not wanting to win' stuff for a second.

Chris cocky? I don't think so. If one person whom I thought was cocky was Greg.

They'd all love to win - Chris included; otherwise why would he and Frankie be taking Salsa lessons in readiness for Saturday.

He's probably read all the posts on here.

Wanting to win = Sin that will have you burning in the pits of hell.

For the record Chris said he'd love to win when asked in this interview but he's more bothered about making the final so he can go on the wires. Maybe if people actually watched the interview.

I admit I didn't see the interview - I was going by Donna's summary and for the record I don't think wanting to win = sin; seems to me Suzanne has been the brunt of this accusation more than anyone, only in her case people don't say she wants to win, they say she's desperate.

”

It's my impression that, when people say Suzanne is desperate, they (or at least some) mean not just that she is desperate to win DOI but that there is an air of desperation about her generally, rather like Lisa Scott Lee (though perhaps not quite to the same extent).

I can't see this. I simply see an enthusiastic young woman giving it her all. She's attractive and determined - strange how that = desperate in so many eyes. Why, when Chris attempts an axel and goes to salsa classes is it acceptable because some see Chris as wanting to win, yet because Suzanne asks to be challenged she is seen as desperate to win.

Beats me.

Its probably because she's a very attractive young woman that brings on these ideas. Unfortunately there's always going to be some people who can't get past the fact that anyone with good looks and personality could possibly be good at what they're attempting to do, whatever it may be.
