Tonight's Emmerdale's Audio
Is it me. Or was there a harp(?) in the background on certain key moments in the show. I have counted several times (about 6) that I can think of and tomorrow I will post these if I remember to watch the ITV2 repeat.
Did anyone else hear this?

Yeah, it was definitely there...became obvious in the last few scenes.
Not sure if it was annoying or "added" to it to be honest They did the same during Louise's stalker thing by playing some "tense" horror-film style music in the background lol. |

The music started when Chloe came to see Zoe in the garden and they were sitting at the table.
It was present from then on, until the end. The music was only meant to be background music, and therefore not dominant over the acting in the scenes. I had subtitles on throughout the whole episode, and whilst other music was dipicted in the episode (eg. Cain playing "The Jam - That's Entertainent") the soft harp (or whatever!!) music was not specified. |

They used it when Cain and Charity took Debbie on a picknick. Everytime it went to a shot of them it would play a little folk music intro and when they left (like they do on the Simpsons when it goes to Cletus the slack jawed yokel) I found it strange and I ment to ask in a post, but I forgot. Are they going to make this a common thing?

It was absolutly awful!!
I noticed it in an episode last week also, (or the week before) can't remember what episode it was but it was annoying then, and again last night. And if they do it again, Im gonna be complaining!! |
