I wouldn't put a sauce with it. Just serve it extremely rare.

Marinade in soy sauce, fresh lime, grated root ginger and a deseeded chili and serve very rare.

Stupendous.

No sauce! You shouldn't cook it so much it is dry enough to need added sauce

I have only tried fresh tuna once and I didnt like it. It seemed to me to have the texture of pork. I want to try to eat more fish so I keep meaning to try tuna again as I only really eat things like cod, salmon, haddock, kippers....the common ones really

If it got a bit tough/dry, you may have over cooked it slightly. But yeah tuna is a very "meaty" fish.

I am a tuna steak addict, but i have it the way the portugese do it. Basically, you have it plain with lime juice. delish.

I'm with you, i've tried doing it several different ways and I just find it, well, bland.

Can't say I'm a big fan. Okay so long as it is very, very rare. I have a bigger problem with swordfish, it's incredibly meaty. Hurts my teeth to eat it.

With tuna you need to make sure you buy good quality fish. Tuna needs to be virtually raw in the middle to be at its best, so you need to ensure the fish is freshand high quality.

As another poster says, great tuna only needs a bit of lime juice. I cook it on a griddle so you get a bit of extra flavour on the griddle stripes.
