salmon
I bought a huge salmon and I don't know how to cook it. I'm not big on fish and I have never cooked salmon. My husband loves fish, so this is really for him.
We want something relatively healthy, but tasty! Any ideas? |

Try coating a chunk of the salmon in honey & mustard and baking it. Lovely.

Thanks for the advice so far. I'll run these by him and see which one he prefers. Thanks!

half tablespoon of tomato puree
dash of soy sauce dash of oyster sauce garlic and parsley pinch of salt and pepper Marinade the salmon in the mixture for a few minutes then lightly pan fry it - no oil needed if you get the pan hot first. You could also add a little water to the mixture and make a little sauce for the salmon to baste in while it is cooking. |

I normally marinate it in a little garlic, salt, pepper and lemon juice, then bake in a tin foil parcel or grill on the George. Served with new potatoes, brocolli and loads of parsley sauce.

If it is good salmon (not farmed) then I would poach it in a fish kettle with a little lemon juice added to the water. why spoil the flavour of something fantastic?

Grill it. Black pepper and lemon juice after. Got to be wild though!
