This is such an ignorant argument. My work Blackberry operates over GPRS in the UK and EDGE in the US. I don't see any practical difference in performance of push email, using the Blackberry browser or viewing attachments. It's all usable. None of it is 3G.
To begin to suggest that a non-3G device cannot be used for these things because of a lack of throughput affecting usability and performance is to ignore the fact that untold millions of corporate Blackberry users are doing this every day the world over.
How and why should anyone, anywhere trust what you post ever again? Are you, like, 10 years old or something?”
Quite offensive saying I have no knowledge and im 10 years old very nice.
I never said 2g was unusable, I said it was slow in comparison to 3g and HSDPA thats common knowledge and anyone with a slightest bit of mobile knowledge knows this.
Having used push email on a 2g device and then using it on a 3g, I would personally find it difficult going back to 2g.
Perhaps many users have never used 3g devices and therefore see 2g as useable.
I can download a 22mb podcast in 2-3mins, on 2g this would be a hell a lot of longer.
I never said anything to offend you, yet you decide to thow insults at me, you obviously know very little about the changing state of the mobile industry where quicker access to web, email, music, podcasts etc is becoming more and more popular.
