News Flash!! ITV Split Event!!

ITV have only gone and given a split event for Diamonds are Forever on saturday.

OK so nothing actually happens when I select one recording as it doesn't show in the schedule list.
If I select whole series then only the 1st part seems to let you select it for recording, but the 2nd part doesn't seem to do anything when you select whole series or one recording.
Its a start I suppose, so hopefully soon they will get it right.
Can anyone else check to see if the same happens for them please?

Is it supposed to warn you that there is another part to it.
Maybe it will think the second part is the next part of the series

Anyway i've got Ashes to Ashes taped - love that girl keeley - and i see that the beeb have got the rangers game on so it will be interesting to see what happens when she appears again.

Can confirm your findings.

Unfortunately they have annotated 2 Programme IDs (Crids) to both parts, one of these appears to contain the correct IMI data to identify the split.

I'll send them a message re the apparent error.

Barry have you have a reply from ITV regarding this?
I sent then an email last night and just got a reply this morning asking how/where im trying to watch Diamonds are Forever.

Just recieved this reply from ITV.

Ive just had another reply from ITV regarding this issue.

If your machine allows it, I would advise setting it to record manually to ensure you record both parts of the film.

They are pretty quick at replying to emails, I just will they were just as quick to fix this problem.

Yep....basically 'under investigation by the technical team'

I do know that the company they outsource the EPG to has carried out some recent upgrades..

There were some errors on Wed/Thur in my area especially with Series Link Data on quite a few programmes, and similar errors to Splits yesterday on This Morning, and today on the am showing of the Dancing on Ice episodes.
