With this lot's antics and Brooke, Micheal, David A, Kady, Carly , Kristy and Syesha all having either record deals or considerable experience in the music industry prior to Idol, are there only a few "genuine" performers on the show?

I can't believe that i'm about to stick up for Danny of all people but I don't see how any of them scandals involving Danny, David and Ramiele make them non geniune performers.

These so-called scandals are extremely tame - OMG a photo of a contestant exists with his shirt off in the kitchen, cancel the series now. Wasn't Paula supposed to be dating one of the guys in a previous series, that was a lot more controversial!

I agree I think Danny is strange, there is just something about him that I dont trust.

As for the pic of Ramiele I dont think there is nothing that bad about that picture, by the looks of it they was only messing around.

And for the rest I dont know about any of them having record deals or experience in the music industry (as I havent seen any news on it ). But if so its makes no difference to me as our X factor was/is the same. As we had Ben, Leona, Ray and Rhydian (maybe more) who had experience or links of some sort in the music world. So IMO we cant really judge them unless we are going to judge ours on the same thing.

I want DC to win anyway - probably best that he doesn't have a scandal or a former record contract to his name, but I love how he stood up to Simon, that's the best kind of drama to win me over

These people are trying to win a competition. In essence, they are after a job. Who really is 100% themselves and 100% honest in a job interview situation?

I couldn't care less whether any or all of these people have had record deals before or have been performing since they came out of the womb. These shows are about finding the best unsigned talent, as in currently unsigned. Very rarely is that going to be found in someone who just happens to walk in off the street.

I can't see what is raunchy about those pictures of Ramiele. Besides, who really thought she was an innocent girl? Is that an assumption made purely because of her size and chldlike look?

All I can see in the "scandalous" pictures of David is a guy with his shirt off in a very explicable situation.

As for Danny, he is a young boy who is not embarrassed or ashamed of his sexuality, and why should he be? It's a shame that such a large number of the US public need to get with the century. The idiots have got rid of the best young singer in the competition while still voting for "Desi Arnaz Jr".

I've found the shirtless ones but I was hoping for something more like the piccies of Chico which emerged during X-Factor

They went into meltdown on the official boards over Danny's video. It's like they don't realise kids do that all the time these days and it's not a big deal.

Mind you, they also take the 'Idol' part of American Idol incredibly literally. They expect them to be squeaky clean and beyond reproach.

The thing about David was that it wasn't just being a stripper, but he allegedly gave lap dances in a gay bar which is evil and wrong yadda yadda what a role model for our children.

And of course all this takes the heat off the planted contestants.
