I absolutely love this show.

I was shocked to see Sabra in the last three in the first show, but think the right 2 girls have gone out.

However, I was more surprised that the judges saved Cedric - 2 weeks running. To me he seems the weakest of them all - what do you all think?

I haven't peeped at the spoilers - YET!!!! As soon as Mary and Nigel both said that they felt Cedric would be out this week (3rd) it wasn't difficult to guess that he wouldn't end up in bottom 3!! Think US voters must love the underdog as much as the Brits! But to my mind they have now lost 3 good boys and Cedric is still in - I hope he goes week 4. Not that I've anything against him as such, it's just so sad to see really good dancers go in his stead.

As for the girls I love Sabra. Don't know what it is about her, but I can't take my eyes off her when she dances. Can't say I'm convinced about her "I've only been dancing 4 years" though. If that is true, I feel she much surely have done some sort of gymnastics before then. Favourite boy (at the moment) is Pasha.

Hi everyone,

I'm loving this show too. I'm so glad it's back on!!
I watch the reapeat on Living TV on the Sunday evening so I'll have to be careful to avoid this thread if some of you watch the program on the Wednesday or I might get totally spoiled (I think I just did a little bit but in no big way)

I was very disappointed last week when they decided to save Cedric over Jimmy. As great as Cedric is in his own style, he doesn't seem very good at the rest.
I haven't looked at the spoilers you posted kp2ni (can't believe how strong I am about it actually!! ) but I would hate to see another good male dancer go to save the very average Cedric (and re-reading Kaycee's post, that's when I think I got spoiled a little, never mind! My own fault! )

My faves so far are..... Bit difficult this as I quite like them all. For the girls, I like Sabra and Jessie but I also really like Lacey and Shauna.
For the boys, Dominic really surprised me when he danced this contemporary piece with Sabra, he was so good and he has a good sense of humour, I really like him. But I also like Pasha and Kameron.
Can't make my mind up about Danny though. He's an amazing dancer and he looks like a beautiful gazelle when he dances but he seems very aloof. It might sound daft but in last week's episode, when the couples were being saved, they would give each other a really big, squeezy hug whereas Danny kind of gave Anya a one-arm hug, it seemed very half-hearted and whereas Anya had a huge smile on, I noticed that Danny's smile never seemed to reach his eyes.... I don't know, I might be reading WAY too much into it!!!

Have a good Saturday everyone!!

xxxx

Sorry, stfrench, I didn't mean to spoil the results for you. I didn't even realise the show was repeated at the weekend.

Oh no Kaycee, please don't apologise!!! As I said, it was no biggie. It was my own fault, I should have been more careful!! The only thing I got from your post is that Cedric didn't get booted out, that's all.

Anyway, there was plenty of drama to keep me in a state of through the program. First of all, Jessie being poorly and not dancing and then, getting the boot!!! Wow! I did not expect that! Especially after the solos: as much as I like Anya, I thought her solo was very weak and that she might possibly go out because of it but then again, she's awesome when she dances with Danny.
I'm quite sad to see Jessie go as I loved her partnership with Pasha.

As for the boys and Jesus leaving, I felt quite sorry for the judges as I think they were between a rock and a hard place as the bottom three guys were all pretty outstanding and it was a real tough choice. I liked Jesus and I was sorry to see him go.

Thank you for that, Stfrench. I too was surprised that Jessie was booted off. I thought at first that maybe it was a fitness issue, but Nigel said the judges were not unanimous, so presumably not. Mind you, none were more surprised that Jessie herself! It's the first time I think I've seen anyone completely thrown by the judges decision against themselves.

But, apart from poor Cedric, I think all the contestants are just so talented, that to vote for/against anyone must be a really hard call.

Did anyone catch the Australian version of SYTYCD? I've read comments (not here) that the dancers and the choreographers aren't as good as the ones in the US version, but I don't necessarily agree. I think the standard is great and the show is every bit as good as the original. Okay, there's no Wade or Mia, but there were a lot of really nice pieces that wouldn't have been out of place on the US version. My favourite was Kate, she was pretty good at most everything thrown at her.

Here's a clip of a dancer that didn't go through to the main competition. Caleb and here's the same performance from the finale.

The ballroom choreo was better on the whole, I thought and the non-ballroom dancers handled it better. It's not SCD type ballroom, but good, interesting choreo nonetheless. Here's a Paso, she's ballroom, he isn't.

This YT user has most of the dances, starts from page 7 with auditions on previous pages.
