I went to a concert last night and I did a video and took some photos on my Sony Ericsson Z530i mobile phone I am with the O2 network and I have an O2 bluetooth dongle V2.0 mini usb dongle CD Driver included, but I dont have a clue how to use this dongle device, or how to transfer the photos and videos from my mobile phone to my PC.

My Dad once tried using the dongle device but nothing seemed to happen I think he just plugged it into the PC like I do with my plug and play MP3 when downloading my music onto it. Is it a similar process with this dongle?

Im not at all techinal minded so some very simple step by step instructions as to how I can transfer my photos and videos from my mobile phone to my PC would be very much appreciated.

With thanks

It's the easiest way if you have the cable. just plug it in. if prompted select mass storage mode.

What cable? how much does a cable cost? and where can I get one from? and what type of cable do I need to get? the phone shops are usless they dont have anything like that which is why they sold us the bluetooth dongle

Cant I transfer my photos and videos to the PC with the bluetooth dongle? If I can could someone please give me some simple step by step directions as to how to do this?

I dont know anything about bluetooth or how it works

The cable would have come with the phone, that's what it is for. Its much easier to drag and drop than using Bluetooth.

I don't think the z530 comes with a couple.

First of all, install the software on the CD and then plug in the Bluetooth dongle. (There are instructions on the CD)

Then turn on Bluetooth on the phone.

From the PC follow the instructions to PAIR a new device.

Now, on the phone find the file you want to send and select the send via Bluetooth option.

If there is no send by bluetooth option then you will have to get hold of some phone explorer software.

If it was me I would buy a data cable for a few pounds online. Its much much easier that way.

Not every phone comes with a cable in the box.

Thanks for that advice I will look into treating myself to the cable as it seems this will make transfering photos and videos from my camera as easy as it is when I connect my camera to the PC to transfer photos
