Hello,

I have Tiscali TV with the Thompson / speedtouch router model st585v6 from the label underneath.

The laptop is detecting a speedtouch 45B81c which I assume is me - however it says
'limited or no connectivity' - none in fact

BB access from the PC is fine.


The laptop has an Atheros AR5005G wireless network adapter fitted & working ok

I've run the the wireless network setup wizard (a few times) using a flash drive - but with no success.

Data is moved via a USB port onto the stick (& will install on laptop), but

The next step is supposed to be - plug the flash drive into your wireless access port

But what/where is the wireless access port ????

Any ideas other on how to get the laptop online again ??

Tried rebooting (turning it off and on again) the router & laptop?
I usually click the connection, and click connect. Enter password (for the first time only).
Though I don't have the said router.

hi how are you connecting to the router is it a wirless adaptor pluged into the usb slot or a wirless network card, if it is a wirless adaptor try un installing the adaptor by going into control panel then add remove programs then find the adaptor on the list then click uninstall it. use the disk supplyed with it and when it says plug in your adaptor try pluging it into the usb slot when told to do so. if everything goes well and you can see your router on the list try to connect and if it comes up limitde or no connectivity go to network connections in control panel then right click on the connection and click on repair see if this helps

or you can go to start connect to then the wirless adaptor that is built in chould be there just connect to the router in the list and put in any secuirty codes you may need to connect like wep or what ever you use then do what i said above if you have limited or no connectivity hope this helps to m8

oh and is the pc connected by wireless or wired?
