I'd guess 2 from either Michael Jackson, David Bowie, Phil Collins or Whitney Houston.

Depends on if you count Bruce Springsteen as solo, or whether they counted The E Street Band in the workings. Born In The U.S.A sold an awful lot of copies and helped shift a lot of back stuff. Tunnel of Love sold pretty well too.

Its Micheal Jackson he had the top selling album of all time with Thriller selling over 104 million worldwide in 1982 then he had Bad selling 30 million worldwide in 1987.
