I assume Carrie is also doing well and I know Chris Daughtry and Jennifer Hudson are doing ok but what about

Fantasia is/was in the Color Purple - doing she not have a contarct anymore?

Ruben / Clay / Diana Degarmo / Taylor / Katherine / Jordin / Blake / Chris / Melinda et all!

Carrie Underwood is doing amazingly well, certainly found her niche. 8 Grammys, multi platinum albums etc

I think Fantasia is going to be starring in the movie remake of the Colour Purple.

Jordin Sparks hasn't done as well as people hoped but she's steadily getting there. I gather her song with Chris Brown - No air, is doing rather well.

Taylor, Ruben and Katherine were all dropped by their record labels.

Diana DeGarmo's album flopped, but shes now got a role on broadway, albeit a supporting one (Penny in Hairspray)

Katharine Mcphee is performing on Idol on next weeks show

Chris Daughtry is huge - I think his album was the best-selling debut album in the US last year and I believe he's the 3rd biggest seller ever from Idol after Carrie and Kelly...

I thought Diana DeGarmo was the star of Hairspray on Broadway, but will bow to the superior knowledge elsewhere Fantasia's record sales were plummeting until she started in The Colour Purple, though I wasn't aware of the film version. Constantine Maroulis has been performing off-Broadway for a while too.

Kelly Pickler (bridesmaid at Kat McPhee's recent wedding!) and Elliot Yamin's albums have both performed better than anyone expected, though Blake's & Jordin's albums have both underperformed to date, though as mentioned elsewhere, Jordin's latest single seems to be turning the tide...

Fantasia has just finished her role in The Color Purple on broadway and will be in the film version produced by Oprah Winfrey after she finishes her third album and US tour (Possible Oscar nominations here)

Jordin Sparks 'Tattoo' single sold over one million copies and the new single 'No Air' has just shot into 6th place on the US Top 100 so her album will no doubt pick up after this.

Blake Lewis's album is expected to pick up again with the release of his new single 'How Many words' (performed on AI last week) which is predicted to be a big hit.

He seems to have done pretty well though - his first album went platinum which is impressive considering he's in a minority genre. Apparently the split from the record company was mutual as he wasn't really their thing and he wanted more artistic control.
