You won't be able to hear DTS through your TV speakers - DTS is not transmittable via a scart or stereo connection. The only way you will be able to hear DTS on your DVDs is either through your DVD home cinema system (if it is capable of decoding DTS) or by connecting your DVD player via an optical or coaxial cable to an AV receiver/amp which is capable of decoding DTS. DD5.1 is audible via your TV - the scart connection downscales it to a Dolby stereo signal, which your TV is capable of playing.
