They've been my favourite band for years, I absolutely adore everything they've done. 'One Day Like This' is going to be the next single.

I love the fact they're mates with Doves. Really really really looking forward to Doves' new stuff.

Hmm....I love music like this - love Doves, Reindeer Section, stuff of that ilk. But I've never quite managed to get into Elbow and I have absolutely no idea why.

It just doesn't seem melodic enough. No tunes to get into your head in the way that, say, Pounding by Doves does.

Well that's not totally true - I love Fallen Angel and particularly Fugitive Motel off Cast of Thousands (I think?), but they're exceptions. I really, really feel like I should love Elbow and the new album, but I'm not there yet. I'll play it out loud in the car tomorrow and that's a promise!

Was listening to Cast of thousands today and the link with Doves is of course very strong in Grace under Pressure (excellent track)

Have to say that the only disappointment with the Elbow gig was they didn't do Fugitive Motel, but that apart it was brilliant, better than James the night before (which was pretty good!).

Am very disappointed as well to be missing the Forest gig. Have been to one before (Embrace, Sherwood) and it is a really good atmosphere. I'll be on the other side of the world so cannot go

Probably the finest band in the country at the moment. I found a nice review of their gig at the Roundhouse here - http://www.soundproofmagazine.com/Un...oundhouse.html

Nice to read some reviews from an independent source.

I have to admit this is the 1st Elbow album I've bought and I'm hooked. It really is a superb piece of work with barely a duff track on it. I also managed to buy Cast Of Thousands and Asleep At The BAck for £4 each in my local Zavvi also.

Kept putting off buying this, always seemed to be other albums I wanted more.

My best friend had it bought for his Bday and wasn't overly keen so gave it to me for a listen, wow I love it and haven't stopped playing it yet.

no way is he getting it back
