i have a 32c3030 toshiba and find it more than adequate for sd viewing , however , if your other half is looking for perfection then i can see an argument coming , especially if she views in comet or currys etc where all the tv's are fed a high def source and of course look excellent , good luck

In my opinion the Panny LMD70 is the best value for money. It can be found on the web at £450, the extra £150 for the LXD70 is only worth it imo if you watch lots of sport for the 100hz does smooth out the picture...

yes , i do watch football , but more rugby , now here is my theory , a lot of variation is to be found in quality , but , it is down to the broadcast quality for me , some football / rugby looks excellent , i find skysports coverage to be very good , and then i find bbc etc to be poor a lot of the time , what sort of budget have you got ???

Buying a HD-Ready TV will allow you to connect your PC and view high definition pictures on that. Computers output HD even at the desktop level, and there are lots of Hi Def downloadable video files available.

What type of computer are you using - operating system and graphics card?
