Never heard of a file hider, I must be far too innocent.

Couldn't you just put a phone lock on the handset if you have something that you dont want someone else to see?

Best file hider in your case would be your pocket, its an expensive phone to just leave laying around.

Did you do it via the N95 or from your PC/Laptop?

The source if this post is this:

In S40 phones you could put images into different folders and you accessed them through the file system.

the N95(1 or 2) helpfully scans your storage and puts all your images into the gallery.

it's a good question.

Drjukka Browser freeware will also allow you to hide files under attributes:

For proper individual file encryption you could pay for ‘Best Crypto’:

this somewhat convoluted answer:

may have some merit.

I thought it was a bit easier than that or maybe I am missing something:

> DrJukka.com > Y Browser > highlight the folder or file
> Options > File > Attributes > toggle Hidden on

All done except for rebooting the N95 to rebuild the gallery index if the folder is marked hidden and not its image files. Cutting and pasting shown files into the hidden folder deletes the thumbnail from the gallery.

Really i thought the gallery scanned for hidden folders. i'll check.

essentially what that guide is saying is that the gallery doesn't look in the thumbmail folder.
