Reading the above just made me think about how much was the production teams fault and how much was down to the actual HM's. I mean (am assuming that the same people pick the HM year after year) they have gotten it mainly right the last three attempts so the only thing that has changed is the potential HM's.

They presumably have seen all the documentries on how to get into the BB house and so they act up to it - appear lively/confrontational/flirty etc etc to get the producers to notice these traits. They then realise that to win the game they have to become wall flowers and not be offensive/bitchy/to loud etc to anyone so they suppress the traits that got them selected in the first place.

Anyone else think anything like this?

Now is you chance!

I go to the Big Brother evictions each Friday - not only that, but, I go inside the main studio where you see the after exit interview being conducted. I often get the chance to ask the evictee a few questions before they are sent off to the press conference.

This week (who ever gets evicted) I want some really good questions to ask.

All suggestions will be read and the best will be asked.

If you have a question or questions please e-mail: big-bro-insider@theopenworld.co.uk.

The answers from the evictee will be posted here on Saturday.

Could you ask Cameron where Orkney is? As far as I can tell it is firmly located up his arse along with himself.

The strength of BB is the simplicity of the concept - lock a bunch of people up for 10 weeks or so, give it a competitive twist with the weekly nominations and watch what happens.”

They're all good points that you make, but i bet if Endemol had really gone "back to basics" and not deployed all the gimmicks, instead keeping it pure and simple as you stated, we'd all now be sitting here asking them why they gave us such a boring show with no gimmicks. We are very hard to please. Personally I think there's nothing wrong with the gimmicks, what's let them down is that they've managed to pick a bunch of HMs who on the whole get on with each other. Plus the books haven't help stimulate conversation. Chipmunk, you are right in your analysis, and perhaps a change to make is something I've advocated before - reverse the nom/eviction process, so we vote for who should stay (turning it into a positive vote), and letting the HMs decide who out of the last 2 or 3 should go. That should be a private ballot too.

And sorry to Cwej, looks like I overreacted to your comment myself! That'll learn me to read posts fully before replying.
