The opening/set - s'ok. Didn't like the band being so far away...but looks like they come down as needed.
Overall I was pretty impressed...esp. by the people I don't like
Syeisha(?) - Was good...but as the 2 hours wore on...she became forgettable
Chikezie - Wow...very impressed. Still not a favorite but thought it did well
Ramiela(?) - Snoooze. Beautiful voice but boring
David Cook - Good...but wasn't loving it as much as last week
Carly - Probably my favorite from her...but still not wow'd
David H - Don't like him...hated his version
Brooke - Loved her!
Jason C - Was ok. Getting a bit tired of the Arlo Guthrie/Jack Johnson vibe, though
Amanda - Thought it was her best yet...very surprised

lol it's nothing to do with the americans since Nigel Lythgoe is the executive producer & there's also another brit producer, in fact like Simon said the show is full of British employees.
Was a great night overall. But just too much politics and irrelevant chatter among the judges.

lol...I'm not into the conspiracy theories but I think had Kristy and/or the band used a slower tempo...it wouldn't have been so bad.
I was getting annoyed with the Simon/Ryan snarking. Its ok once in awhile...but not when you have a contestant standing there. It takes the focus off the performance.
I couldn't believe Simon asked "What's the Irish girl's name?"!"!"

David C, Carly and Amanda were probobly my fav performers tonight, which is intresting as non of them have been favs of mine up to this point, anyone notice how Amanda manages to fit the word 'child' into every performance she dose, she even put in into the group performance one week despite only having one line to sing
Kristy should go but i get the feeling she wont.

I believe this was sorted before the show. I do not think if it sounded the way it did they would have gone ahead. And I do not think it needed a more slower tempo either if the band was in synch with her. Well, this is just me.
If Simon cannot remember her name (Carly) which I agree is rude. How the hell can she sell much more than the 400 CD's she is rumoured to have sold on a two million dollar record deal? This is the million dollar question. As we all know the record industry these days is a lot more cut throat these days. In fact how many of these lot will make it in the record industry before they forget about them? Thats why its best to have other creative outlets.
Regardess of boring polls. I do not think Syesha will go home this week. And this is not because Asia'h went home last week. She has a lot of silent voters. People underestimate her. Most of her fans are off line and not vocal like many. But if she does she will be fine and still have a career. But my money is David H to go.

No doubt it was decided before the show...too bad somebody didn't tell her/them that it sucked.
I think Simon is too busy driving around in his million dollar car to be worried with minor details like names...lol...
I haven't been paying all that close attention to those at the bottom of polls (usually don't look at them till we get to the top 12)...and was surprised to see Syeisha so far down. Figured she'd be one of the top 3 or 4.
I see a slight possibility in her leaving tonight. If Kristy fans rally and Chikezie/Amanda gained new fans....she could be in trouble...but I still think its Kristy's time to go.
If I still have my laptop up and running...I'll pop in quickly with the results...although I'm guessing there won't be a lot of peeps around that late...
Overall not a bad show...
Carly Smithson - "Come Together" - 8/10 - powerful vocals, owned the stage, excellent performance
Brooke White - "Let It Be" - 8/10 - another great song choice, suited her really well, captivates the audience
David Cook - "Eleanor Rigby" - 8/10 - great tone and stage presence, built the song up well
Chikezie Eze - "She's a Woman" - 7/10 - good vocals, looked really confident on the big stage
Amanda Overmyer - "You Can't Do That" - 6/10 - made the song her own but sounded a bit out of control in places
Jason Castro - "If I Fell" - 6/10 - nice vocals, boring song choice made it a bit forgettable
Michael Johns - "Across the Universe" - 6/10 - same story as Jason, decent vocals but totally forgettable

Syesha – Sang it well but really didn't move me one way or the other. Don't think she'll go but wasn't that impressed.
Chikezie – Completely shocked by this one - absolutely LOVED it! Gets huge respect from me for going for broke, doing something totally original and pulling it off so well. One of my fave performances of the night and I so hope he stays. He really deserves to after that.

David C – Not as amazing as last week but still loved it. He's growing on me more and more every week. One of my fave 3 performances, with Chikezie and Brooke.
Carly – Liked her before and still like her now. Didn't blow me away but a great song choice for her and she did it really well. Think she's got more in the tank and probably not far away from a completely 'wow' week.
David H - I actually really like his voice, but really didn't like this rendition or performance. Was disappointed. To nick Simon's words, all seemed a bit cabaret.
Brooke - Loved it. She knows who she is, who her audience is, and she delivers spot on every week. Would still buy her CD tomorrow.
Jason C – Still love him and think he did a good performance, but didn't blow me away like he did last week.
Amanda - Not been too bothered by her until now, but think she did a really good job last night.
Michael – I find him so frustrating! I love his voice, it gives me tingles, but somehow he leaves me slightly disappointed every week. Was good but I'm convinced he's got so much more to give and has potential to be one of the best in the competition but it's like he's holding back or something. Really hope he pulls an amazing performance out of the bag before he gets outsung and voted off.
Kristy – Didn't hate it but it was a really strange performance. As others have said, she seemed out of tempo with the band (don't buy the conspiracy theories, I think she just lost her a way). A shame because it could have been so much better.
David A. - Even putting aside the fact that he forgot the lyrics, it was not a great performance. Think he's really talented, and has too much of a fanbase to go this week, but I really hope it was only a one week dip and he comes back fighting next week. If not, he's in danger of being the one who peaked too early.
Fave performances for me were David C, Brooke & Chikezie, with Carly & Jason not too far behind.
Worst were David H, Syesha, Kristy & though it pains me to say it, David A.
Think Kristy or David H will go, but have a wierd feeling that either Syesha or Ramiele will be in the bottom 3.

The Horton Hears a Who movie pimping was annoying. Jim Carey in the audience was enough.....sheesh.
The phone calls from fans didn't really had anything to the show (although they had two calls from NC...woot! And the last call was from a Brit here in NC)
