Overall not a bad show...
Carly Smithson - "Come Together" -
8/10 - powerful vocals, owned the stage, excellent performance
Brooke White - "Let It Be" -
8/10 - another great song choice, suited her really well, captivates the audience
David Cook - "Eleanor Rigby" -
8/10 - great tone and stage presence, built the song up well
Chikezie Eze - "She's a Woman" -
7/10 - good vocals, looked really confident on the big stage
Amanda Overmyer - "You Can't Do That" -
6/10 - made the song her own but sounded a bit out of control in places
Jason Castro - "If I Fell" -
6/10 - nice vocals, boring song choice made it a bit forgettable
Michael Johns - "Across the Universe" -
6/10 - same story as Jason, decent vocals but totally forgettable
Syesha Mercado - "Got To Get You Into My Life" -
6/10 - good vocals towards the end, looked confident. not the best song
David Archuleta - "We Can Work It Out" -
5/10 - forgot his words a number of times and also had pitch problems, shock horror
David Hernandez - "I Saw Her Standing There" -
5/10 - song didn't suit him, sounded like he was straining to hit some of the notes
Ramiele Malubay - "In My Life" -
5/10 - sounded okay but she just looks totally bored on stage and thus is boring to watch
Kristy Lee Cook - "8 Days A Week" -
4/10 - absolute trainwreck, too fast, too screechy, too country
For me, Carly, Brooke and David C were in a different league to the rest last night. Interesting to see David A crumble, makes the competition a bit more interesting.
Too many of the top 12 were forgettable and need to step it up next week.
I think David H, Syesha and Ramiele all could be in trouble along with Kristy (who'll probably end up surviving on the sympathy vote

)
