I mean:

Pasta
Tomatoes
Basil
and a bit of cheese.

It's just so original, what next? tomatoes in a tin? Chips frozen in a bag?

The man is frankly a genius.

I find him slightly irritating but I think it's because he's grown up on TV and morphed from a slightly mad 20 something to a smug married with 2.4 children stressing about the diets of school children and the fate of battery farmed chickens. He's now going through his Jamie does allotments phase. Quite frankly he's one of the least inspiring celebrity chefs around IMO but he's media savvy and will be around I fear for a long time to come.

When he say's " What more can you want," I turn around to O/H and say "to be in the same room with Jamie Oliver and a sledge hammer"

All we need to be able to cook and eat like Jamie these days is a huge garden, full time gardener and a very posh hut to cook in!

He was on an ad last night.......showing off hot cross buns spread with marmalade and put in an oven dish, he then tipped some ready made custard over it and shoved it in the oven! Hey presto......a really yummy looking pudding!!

Do you say that every time? I can imagine that would get quite annoying...
