AR/AT fails again...

Is it ever going to work? Since the v21 update, I have not seen any evidence that AR/AT has worked for any live sport over-runs.

Take last night's Everton vs Fiorentina UEFA Cup match on ITV4. I was watching it live and it looked like it was going to over-run, so I scheduled Enter the Dragon, which was on immediately after it. I did not finish watching the match and switched off and went to bed.

This morning, I find in my Playlist, Enter the Dragon 22:23~00:25 (it was previously scheduled for 22:00~00:05, I think.) I thought great, AR/AT worked. I stared playing the recording, and guess what I saw... part of the penalty shoot-out of the match! I moved all the way to the end of EtD and guess what... it finished prematurely, with no ending!

So if you had set the match to record, you would have missed the important penalties, and if you set the film to record, you would have missed the ending! Disappointment on both accounts! The BBC are no better with sports over-running, specifically the example of the FA cup game last month...

It really should not be that difficult for the broadcasters.
Live Events = studio staffed.
Programme overrun = reschedule following programmes.
Change in schedule = change in EPG and current event data.

Lay out a procedure to cope with such common occurences and ensure the staff follow it.

Is it a Humax issue or a broadcaster issue. That is the question? AR and EPG info come from the broadcaster dont they?

Indeed the data does - but it depends which data is updated (eg EPG or now and next) and which one the Humax uses.........

I have had it work perfectly on BBC1 when a football match overran and the following program recorded perfectly even though the guide didn't update until the last minute; so it can work.

Yes it does work, but ITV have already stated that they are having some problems with getting things to work as they should and don't know when a fix for these problems will be made.
We had our 1st complete Corrie on ITV1 last night which started recording during ads before and finished during ads after.
