I think its got potential to reach number one and spend many weeks at the top of the charts just like umbrella did.

I think its also going to be a huge hit worldwide and may get Britney's blackout album recognised more worldwide.

What does everyone else think??

I think if it was released by someone else it may be, but because Britney seems to be the laughing stock of the world, I can't even see it reaching number 1. Theres also the fact that Umbrella was released before Good Girl Gone Bad, so it was the only way to own it. Whereas Blackout has already sold over 2 million worldwide, which means less single sales.

I think Britney Is Much better then rihanna i mean you just have to look at britneys early years they were great performances. i saw rihanna Live and she was a great dancer but she could NOT sing live she only sang bits aswell to umbrella. im not slagging rihanna off because i think her music is great. I know britney Mimes aswell but when she sings ballads she is good. BTI is a great song and should do well. and Britney is a great dancer

Lol...no offence but I think you are way off the mark. Think it will be lucky to reach lower top10...not a chance at number1.

I actually really like Britney and the song- just seriously- 3rd single from a relatively poor selling album with an animated video, from an artist who is off the rails and can't promote...u honestly think that's gonna make number 1?

I think this whole Blackout album could've been so much bigger, it's a great album but obviously Britney has just lost it - she doesn't appeal to anyone anymore.

I mean her fans may have stuck with her until the Toxic era (her last number 1 I think. although My Pregogative was big too) but now who wants to be a fan of a psychotic divorced twice mother of two, who doesn't even get to see her kids and has to live with her father under strict rules.

Not a chance. I think it's OK, by no means as awful as "Gimme More" but nowhere near as good as some of her best like "Toxic" or her earliest work. I know alot of people think "Blackout" is really good, but it's far from her strongest effort, IMO. Alot of her previous songs were "sexy" songs, and as soon as you see a picture of her, she just can't pull that off anymore.

EDIT: And it's nowhere near as good as "Umbrella"

Her last number one was actually "Everytime" and Gimme More and Piece of Me reached top 3.

Everytime was part of the Toxic era right? That is what I meant... but ok.

And WOW, anything can get in the charts these days with the downloads having such a big effect.

I'm a fan of her music but I don't see her getting anywhere with this album, with her public persona as bad as it currently is.

I think Piece Of Me could have done brilliantly if she was well enoough to promote and everything. Should've been released first from the album because Gimme More was crap.
