Surely this is not just a bit of bias on Jason's part. I wish this prat would get the push from the judging panel.

He is not what I'd define as a judge. Judges are supposed to refrain from making personal comments and remain impartial

They are there to try to provoke viewers of all persuasions to vote more. It's in their interests to promote the idea that it's not a one-horse race. More votes = more revenue.

I forgot to add - no mention of the fact that Suzanne will have an unfair advantage when they do the flying sequence as she has done it before in Panto. Can't see Jason giving Chris a 6 even if he does a faultless performance in any of his routines on Sunday.

Jason was quite harsh about gareth sometimes too.
I think hes just wanting a woman a win!

I agree. I think Jason wants a woman to win this year. Unfortunately I can see him potentially ruin what could be a great Final with his biased comments.

Please don't think I'm being provocative - but do you have a link to back this up? Someone else alleged this - but despite googling I've come up with nothing.

I believe it might have been with Hearsay on tour rather then Panto but I'm pretty sure I saw somewhere that Suzanne has done wire work before. If I could only remember where.... call it speculation on my part for now.

I clicked the link - saw Jason talking about Chris - but didn't hear any mention of Suzanne on wires.

If she has done wire work then she will have a feel for what is expected of her - but over the 1st 2 series the best in the air didn't win. Bonnie in series 1 and Clare in series 2. (I still mourn the fact that Clare and Andrei didn't win).

Yep, cos panto is the same as skating experience... I think Jason has a point. And what is wrong with a girl winning?

Chris might have done some ice hockey but that's not 'dancing' it's probably a case of skating and stopping and turning quickly. Suzanne and Zaraah have both had dacing experience so surely that helps them a lot with knowing how to hold themselves and move gracefully so they have each had a bit of something that will help them on the ice! Also they have the male professional so are at a greater advantage than Chris!

May the best man win!

hey glitterbug I'm a big Suzanne fan - all my votes have been going her way and will do on Sunday (well I gave some to Greg before he went). I wasn't happy with Chris's previous skating experience, but it's done with now - it's the final on Sunday, no point in raking over old arguments. And if I can be critical of Chris's previous skating then in fairness I have to acknowledge that previous wirework will work in Suzanne's favour, just as Zaraah's dancing gives her an advantage in the artistic dept.

There's only one man

May the best woman win - and let that be Suzanne

its perfectly true. Chris has such an overwhelming advantage he never should have been cast for the show. Its about as absurd as putting an exfootballer into a celebrity soccer match. The problem is that the time for someone to say it was when the casting was being done - not now.

This really is old news lol!! Each of the the finalists have their own 'unfair' advantage - let the skating do the talking on Sunday and the only person Jason promotes is....Jason

Well, it would be if he had been a professional ice dancer instead of a professional actor.

I think that skating experience is an advantage unlike any other in DOI. A popular argument used to be that Greg also had skating experience and it didn't help him, but it did. It was a big part of why he was confident on the ice and could do jumps, for example.

Pity about the rhythm - or lack of it

Oh my gosh - imagine what he'd have been like if he hadn't had the skating experience

He was so amusing to watch.

The semi-professional skater in a group of celebrities learning to skate actually has advantages over a former minor professional footballer in a celebrity soccer match. Most male celebrities will have played football and be able to run and may well be younger and fitter than someone who has retired - most celebrities on ice without skating experience will start in the same place - on the floor after failing lesson one - how to stand up.

Its just too late to do anything about it unless Jason represents a view on the show and an argument they want to get the public thinking about. If its just his view its too late, the source undermines the argument and making the argument just weakens the winner's story whoever they are.

I don't really watch the show because I'm not in on a Sunday evening for various reasons although I have been known to watch the Saturday repeats.

I do have to say though that a supposedly impartial judge speaking out like this is a complete disgrace. He may only be pointing out the elephant in the room but such an obvious bias against someone is terrible and he should be removed from the judging panel.

Whether or not having been an ice hockey player is an advantage is debatable but I would say that Suzanne spends practically no time on the ice during her routines which tends to suggest to me that she is more 'Dancing in the Air and touching the ice from time to time' and in this competition I honestly believe that it is easier for the women.

In all honesty I'd rather see Zaraa win since she started later than they others and has had to skate off so often she deserves the break!

I do think it will be Chris though and good luck to him. He's worked as hard as the others and any advantage he had will have gone by the wayside now.

Totall agree with you - Chris to win Zaraah runner up.
