To force people to watch what ITV2 is showing at 9pm.
I WISH they would show it on Fridays only. It's so much easier to watch 3 hours of Idol in a row. |

Giving Gossip Girl starts 10pm next Thursday, I'm presuming we're running with one show from next week.
Could be wrong though, haven't looked at the listings.. Edit: Yup. ![]() The 10 remaining finalists sing another selection of songs as they compete to impress judges Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson as well as the voting public. Ryan Seacrest presents General Show/Game Show Thursday 27th March on ITV 2 from 7:40pm to 9:00pm |

I watch the first part on ITV2+1 then switch to ITV2 for the second part so I don't have to put up with any irritating programmes in between!

Why do itv manage to ruin the better programmes? They messed up by putting Cat Deeley in and now they show colleen' s show inbetween? No wonder the Formula 1 bosses were so happy to be going back the BBC.

They do it to cradle the programme in the middle, it's a classic way of adding ratings to another show they want to support. I never watch AI live so it makes no difference to me, I forward through all the breaks, all the sponsorship, all the nauseatingly smug Idol Gives Back stuff and most of Ryan Seacrest. You can watch the '2 hours' in about 38 minutes.

Yeah, like the above poster, I never watch it live. My V+ box records them for me and I watch them whenever I get around to them, skipping all the ads, the profiles and the "idol moments". In fact, as I type this, I've just finished watching all three shows in a row with my lunch and I doubt it took more than 2 hours total.

I always record it as well, with the amount of ad breaks in the show it makes the show so tedious to sit through.
