We had a good thread going last year, so - what's everyone's opinions of this year's studio recordings? Anyone heard them yet?

Haven't heard them and annoyingly enough can't find them anywhere at the mo! Pity cos I loved last year's.

I just managed to get my hands on them yesterday, just before I started this thread - I'm busy today but can PM you tomorrow if you want?

Love them, especially David C and Kristy's because they're my tough Cookies, but even the contestants I'm not so fond of (Michael, Ramiele for a start) sound better recorded!

The studio recordings are so cringey though, the production seems so rushed and superficially glossed; poop. Only worth a listen to hear them sing an extra verse or two, although if your a big fan of a particular contestant of course you're going to want to hear it, they're usually extremely disappointing. I'd rather hear the live performances any day, it is afterall a singing contest, not a battle of the vocoder/auto-tune... :sleep:

Kudos to itunes/BMG/Fox/whoever though, ka-ching... Don't waste your money on them, you can always find them for free on youtube.

Gosh am shocked!

Three standout recording voices for me are Syesha, Rameille and Micheal Johns. Loved these three especially. Rather diappointed with David C. Do not know what I expected. Chikezie just sounds the same. Brooke nothing different. Could not listen the whole way through to Carly's. I think Syesha & Rameille have better voices to sell R & B, smooth jazz and some light blues.

To my surprise, I thought Kirsty's was excellent! I think her version of 8 days a week is hilarious though! But she has a good recording voice. Much like Hayley from last year. I thought her recordings were some of the best from last year.

Bad: David C. Terrible, terrible version of Elenor Rigby. I can't listen to it. David H. Not a good song for him.

Good: Amanda, I could listen to her all day. I think her's is my fav. I like Carly's too, but that could be because of the song. I like her voice, but Love Come Together.
