T825 -- Series Link etc

Hi,

After running through a few "free bet" loopholes on Cheltenham week, I've been thinking of treating myself to a Freeview DTR.

I understand that the T825 units now come with the Series Link/Season Pass feature.

Has the FP system got to the point where it is reliable yet?

Do the cheap units from Argos come with the latest chassis, or are they the older T816s still? Is it currently better to buy from somewhere else? (Tesco/ebay/mail order etc)?

I've been out of the loop for a while -- sorry for the inane questions -- but I really want something with the latest functionality.

I know that the Humax is probably the best unit out there but I really don't want to pay out £200 for this thing!

Any assistance gratefully received.

A few weeks ago I purchased the Digihome DTR160 from Argos which is the latest version. The reason I bought from Argos was they will accept the unit back if faulty for refund or exchange within the one year warrantee. Tesco appear to have a similar arrangement. Curry's and other outlets want to return it to the manufacturer meaning you are with it for weeeeeeeks.
