YEAH! It's the Dead Dad story that EVERY show now has!
It must be getting near the end of the show. |

I've just thought who I'd like to see again - Briony who didn't quite get through to the last twelve bit on Maria. I think she'd be a good Nancy.

which CBBC roles have been voted for like that?
I think it's cause they don't think children crying is suitable prime time Saturday night viewing... |

I love these shows. My problem last year though was when they had to sing pop songs which bore no resemblence to the musical. The Nancy girl is great singing the song from the show but if they have her singing rubbish pop songs it may not have the same impact.

Evening all...well, I enjoyed that first show a lot.
Have been thinking of some good nicknames for some of those Nancys already, let's see, we've already met... Posh Nancy (the one whose parents are opera-singers) Nancy Nancy (that could get confusing quickly) OTT Nancy, or possibly Scary Nancy (the one from Blackpool) Soul Nancy (the one with the amazing bluesy voice) Arabic Nancy (the one whose parents would disapprove of her doing it, always a good human interest story) I REALLY hope Single Mum Nancy doesn't make it through to the live shows as I am already finding her deeply annoying, plus how will she cope if they don't let her drag her "lucky mascot" son into Nancy School with her? Some of the Nancys were really Chavtastic! I agree with whoever said about not liking the shaggy-haired look of some of the Olivers. I reckon the Welsh one is in with a good chance. Looked from the trailer at the end as though we're off to Andrew's castle in Ireland again to do a show in the local theatre there, as the Josephs did last year. Can't wait! PS Thank you producers for giving us some Lee eye-candy during that show... |

The real Briony I think I read was now on a course somewhere though I did see on one agents site that you can book her to sing for you at your corporate event. Agree she would look alright in this - the point about nineteenth century London was that it was sucking in people from the countryside all over the place so scouse or Irish or rural Nancy is perfectly credible. |

Her performance of that song was exceptional. Completely real. Go Nancy! |

My money's on Nancy Nancy too! Not that any odds have been set yet.
Must agree, less of the sob stories please. |

Graham's annoying but some of his facial expressions were hilarious.
Liking it so far. At least it's something decent on a Saturday evening. |

Great show. The talent on this show is in a different league to X-Factor. A few sob-stories but they were always there. Reality is that they don't have any impact who gets to final shows which is what matters really.

Liked Nancy Nancy, Liverpool Nancy, and the one they showed at the end who they said was the best they'd seen but didn't give her any airtime
Didn't care much for Scary Nancy....she was barking! Arabic Nancy...very pretty, but horrible nasally voice, and really really don't get why they insisted on putting the young Irish nancy through...they expressed reservations about her being too young, her voice was all over the place...she was far too delicate looking too. They turned away Ebony on those grounds, and she was miles better imo! |

Nancy Nancy has toured with the Take That Never Forget Musical and was part of the VH1 behind the musical about the making of the tour

Well i liked Nancy Nancy and OTT Nancy (although whilst she was great when doing the song I thought she reminded me more of the innkeeper's wife in Les Mis rather than Nancy).
I think Nancy Nancy is probably the early favourite and she was pretty good. I think she'll make it through to the last 12 because they have been following her and because she can actually sing but who knows! It's kind of unfortunate that they have 2 (possibly three, what do people reckon about David?) gay men on a show looking for a Nancy! |
