i've accidently made the vegetable curry too hot, and i need to take some of the heat out - ive added some plain yoghurt and some chicken oxo but its still pretty fierce.

What else can i add?

Marmalade and raisins. Water will dilute it down too or some more milk or coconut milk.

I just thought you could also add bananas or cucumber.

I'd add more stock and then add a paste of cornflour and water and stir continuously.

If it's cream based you could add some coconut milk.

Rice pudding is often eaten by Indians after a meal to cool down from the hot spices.

it was delicious thanks - i would give the recipe, but i just throw a bit of whatever spices i have in the cupboard at the time into it, and it comes out slightly different every time.I dont bother to weigh it, just open the jar and throw some in.And then put curry powder in on top of that.Sometimes i add a tin of tomatoes - i didnt this time, so im guessing that was why the spices seemed hotter.

and then i just steam whatever veg i have in the house - sometimes i add cashews, if i have chicken i add that, if i have mushrooms i fry those and add them.

Doubt you can do anything without ruining it, just mix it with rice when you eat it.

A nice hot curry every now and then does the brain stem good.
