So, what do people think of them and the debut album?

Its what I've been waiting for since At The Drive-In split up. Fantastic album.

If you wanna hear it for free, Winamp are playing it on their listening post at the moment....

Since no one posted into this thread in July, and since that point people have voted it Best Album of the Year in the unofficial Best Album thread... I thought i'd resurrect this thread...

So come on, what do people think?

Like I mentioned in the other thread, it's the best album released this year that I've heard. Equally as good, if not better than, the last At the Drive-In album, but with more prog and psychedelia. It's a pity that the single didn't get that much airplay on the so called rock based video channels.....

Deloused... is easily my favourite album of the year.
Then again, I was/am a big fan of At the Drive-In and was horribly excited about hearing Cedric and Omar's new stuff before it was even realeased, escpecially after being at bit dissapointed with Sparta (the other half of AtD-I)...

'So called' being the point.... unless its over-hyped, major label or Nu-metal it doesn't get a look in on the likes of Kerrang IMO. Scuzz ocasionally plays something decent (was shocked to hear Cult of Luna on there a few weeks back!)...

They're ok, although compared to many artists out there, they're about as experimental as westlife.

Who said they were experimental? I guess they are a little, but to me they are more of an update of the classic rock sound of the early 70s.

I'm not claiming that they're doing anything amazingly experimental... I'm just claiming that I like the album

It's not very out-there at all compared to some of the stuff I'm into, but then again a lot of people would class a lot of the music I like as unlistenable noise!
