![]() ![]() Oh really? WOW! I knew there wasn't any real media interest in the HM's.......didn't realise it wasn't on TV much. Survivor on the other hand does extremely well. I know that show was something the UK didn't embrace but over here it is huge. |

Strange but true 'eh? I like your version just because it's a cultural media phenomena though it has been lackluster lately. The US version has never reached the same amount of hype, ever. The US version hinges solely on Julie Chen's (The Chenbot) interest in continuing to host. Julie is married to and shags the programming boss of CBS and when she's done with BB so goes the show.
Survivor on the other hand does extremely well. I know that show was something the UK didn't embrace but over here it is huge. ![]() I couldn't get into Survivor either..........I don't think they showed it frequently enough over here to get into it. |

You should see her present news on the morning show she's apart of over here. She's almost animated. Julie is miles away from Davina. Julie has chops in television journalism. Davina is a master craft of scowl making and raised eyebrows. Polar opposites really.
Our version of "I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here" lasted one season and I think we buried it quickly whereas you chaps have had several runs of it. Different strokes for different odd folks I guess. ![]() ![]() I'm afraid I can't be doing with Davina's gurning faces. ![]() I didn't realise you had had IACGMOOH. Was it in the jungle? It's really popular here. Would be a boring old world if we all liked the same I guess.

It could have been on a Hollywood soundstage for all I know. Absolutely no one watched it.

Different strokes for different odd folks I guess. ![]() The only reason he won was because all he did was talk about his relationship with J-Lo, everyone wanted to know what else she did, warts and all.As for BB, we used to have girl's nights' to watch BB, it's kind of like Rocky Horror.....ya either get it or you don't LOL I've seen every season and I have my favourites and I have my cringeworthy seasons, this year being one of them. I loved season 1, not because it was a great strategy year, because it wasn't. Because it was new. Everyone had to feel out what to do, checking the rules all the time, being real. They weren't as sneaky as they are today and they were always found out and called out on it LOL. I keep saying this, but no one seems to get it. You state that BB is the bottom of the reality barrel, but it's not even in the barrel. If it were to go up for an emmy, it would be under the category of entertainment, not reality show. That is why the producers can talk to HG's in the DR and try and persuade them into nominating or voting in a certain way. They can put any spin on it they want. If it was under the umbrella of reality they would have been taken off the air by now after numerous fines. Now that leads into my favourite reality show of all time......SURVIVOR Love love love it LOL. Jeff Probst is brilliant, the challenges are great. there is no way that a UK version would ever be popular, the competitors couldn't take it LOL. If they last less than an hour in a sardine tin, they certainly wouldn't last overnight on an island with rain pounding and only rice to eat LOL. Wimps LOL The there is the Amazing Race, I love it when they show 2 teams racing towards the finish line and you don't see who it is until they reach Phil LOL. Aaaah I'm so easily amused. Also think it's great with the yields and the non-elimination legs. When they take all their money off them and they have to try and finish the next leg any way possible, lovin' it LOL. The fact that the UK don't show either of these is pretty much a travesty. Also the fact that the internet service providers all seem to have download limits is another travesty as well.

I'm a Celebrity was actually filmed in Australia, I think the reason it failed was because of the celebrities they chose, their constant fighting over food, the total lack of humour that Ant and Dec bring to it, the fact that the celebrities weren't amusing in the challenges and that Chris Judd won

"Come on in guys" "Malakal take a look at the new Arai tribe, A N Other voted out at the last Tribal Council" "Ready to get to your next challenge" etc etc. Be spontaneous man! Also I loved the UK Survivor, unfortunately us Brits didn't take to it. I just think we like to be involved...as in voting etc. The Amazing Race is brilliant, my favourite reality show. |It's such a shame it's hidden away on Living TV. If it was on ITV or BBC it would be a hit. I even download The Amazing Race Asia, which is just as exciting. |

I love this show, surprised it isn't doing better. The constant drama is great, although it does feel more scripted and polished than the UK version.

Really? I think it's great. I didn't see the UK versions (was watching BB of course) but the US one is brilliant. Even 16 editions in it's fantastic. It did go a bit poo at the start of last year, but then Survivor China was amazing.

I will tell you Jeff is never prepped about what happens at camp when he is not around. He doesn't want to know. He uses his own intuition to get cull that information out of the castaways at Tribal Council. Councils are hours long affairs that get cut to the 15 or 20 minutes that make it to air. Previous survivors have all said that Jeff is relentless in his questions at Council and will call people out if he thinks your answers aren't forthcoming or vague. |

I love Big Brother USA and The Amazing Race (which is AMAZING)... but I could never get into Survivor at all, the UK or US version and I have tried on several occassions.

![]() We got to to see that over here. From memory I quite enjoyed it. Downtown Julie Brown (I think that was her name) was brill. She HATED Alanah Stewart if I remember correctly. A shame they did not do more IMO |
