Bands of shadow?

Really sorry if this has been asked before, I couldn’t see anything.

I had a 32” Toshiba LCD TV installed yesterday. The TV is great but there are these weird black shadows in two bands about an inch down from the top of the screen, I’ve tried playing with the picture settings but I can’t seem to get rid of them.

Is this a settings issue, or is it a common issue with LCD TVs that I’ll just have to learn to live with, or is it a fault on the set that I need to talk to the shop about?

Any help would be extremely appreciated.

If you're not happy, then call the retailer out to have a look.
