Do you get into a rut when cooking, same food, same ingrediants?
I've been trying to get out of that rut recently but I have found myself eating lots of birds eye chicken pies recently.I tried them again recently after a long time, there isnt much filling but it goes ok with mash and veg. |

It's variations on: salmon coriander lime chilli soy sauce Alternated with jacket potatoes! I keep buying ingredients that'll take me in a different direction, like tortillas. But they just become store cupboard fillers which I never use.

It's easy to get in a rut, but I try and cook something different on a Saturday and then use that if liked as an addition to my weekday meals.
A woman I worked with used to list all her meals as she found it easy to forget about meals even though she liked them, this also avoided making the same meals over and over again .... I'm not that organised but it certainly sounds a good idea |
