IS this a good plan? T-mobile 35 and Viewty for free?
Also what does the £180 allowance include? Data? Picture messages?

Flex 35 gives you £180 allowance and if tmob are still dong it you will get £5 p/month off so its £30
That £180 allowance is for making calls to landlines/mobiles, texting and mms. So for example you might make £90 of calls and £90 of texts or £160 of calls and £20 of texts. I find it great value as most of the networks either give you loads of mins and hardly any texts and vice versa, because my usage varies it suits me better. Pretty much anything else is charged extra, add on web and walk for £7.50 to your account and you will get unlimited web and email on your phone, although the net on the viewty isnt anything to write home about. Tmobile are imo a very good network and the plans great value for money but they dont suit everyone. |

I didn't really like the browser that come with the Viewty but it's far better if you download the Opera mini browser to use with it. |

Just to let you know OP that voicemail is not included in that allowance, so if you call voicemail you are charged 12p per minute. You are also subject to a minimum call charge of 20p so even if you call someone for 20 seconds it still deducts 20p from your Flext allowance.
Data is charged either £7.50 p/m unlimited browsing or up to £1 per day. The Viewty also has the built in modem so you could get the w+w plus for £12.50 instead of £7.50 which would allow you to connect to the internet via pc/laptop if your out and about and use that type of thing, it's also got the functionality for HSDPA so if you get good 3G signal you'll be getting broadband speeds. |

But the 12p per minute comes out of the allowance. You're not charged extra.

No you are charged extra on your bill, as in you have to pay an extra charge on top of your line rental credit.

Pic messsages do come out of your allowance. Plus don't forget that on the tariff you mention you also get unlimited free weekend calls to landlines and mobiles (all networks).
It's a brilliant deal which i've had since last August, although i don't get the £5 discount I do get free eves calls as well as the weekend ones. Go for it. PS Voicemail use doesn't come out of your allowance, it's charged extra. Who uses that anyway? And one final point, - pic messages (or text MMS) come out of your allowance even when you are abroad, so pics and texts send that way are "free" |
