I've booked for Hairspray and would like to see another show.

I saw Les Miz sometime ago when it was still at the Palace Theatre. Has anyone out there seen it recently? Is it still as good?

Any recommendations for show/musicals ?

I believe it's still good. I think I'll book another visit too.

It's just thatit's been on for sooooo long. I thought the production values might have fallen.

I'm seeing both shows in a couple of weeks. We'd booked for Hairspray, but its costing so much to get up there and stay overnight that I'm going to catch the matinee of Les Mis at the same time...

I'd recommend Wicked if you haven't already seen it ewoodie. Absolutely brilliant show.

I saw it the night before i went to see Joseph. Last minute on the day tickets for £25 and we had a great view.

I've heard that Wicked is good. Where did you get the tickets, Leicester Square?

I've seen Joseph twice, so I don't particlularly want to go again. I really want some half price tickets and I know that you can get these for Les Miz, Chicago and Blood Brothers, all of whcih I've seen before.

My son is coming with me and it's been difficult to persuade him as he has Asperger Syndrome and anxiety issues. So I really want to make a good choice.

I got mine from one of the half price ticket booths in Leicester square (not the official one). There were loads of empty seats on the night too so i would imagine you'll be able to get tickets ok as long as its not a weekend maybe.

A friend of mine went a few weeks ago and ordered hers off ticketmaster for £15 and had good seats - its quite a new theatre so even the upper circle seats have unrestricted views.

Its a brilliant show ewoodie. I can't imagine anyone not liking it. I don't know how old your son is but it'd be especially good if hes young.

The storyline is a prequel to The Wizard of Oz so anyone who knows that story will be fascinated at how well written the show is and how it completely turns everything you thought you knew on its head.

Like Joseph its another feel good show - whereas Les Mis, much as i adore it, doesn't give you the same kind of high.

Thanks bobbla.

I'll try and get tickets for Wicked then!!! I'm not sure I will get them as we are going Friday to Sunday. I will want them for the Friday.

I know what you mean about Les Miz. I always preferred their other show, Miss Saigon. I saw Lee play Chris in Miss S in 2006. Also saw him in Tommy with Jonathan Wilkes. That's one of the reasons I followed his progress on ADWD.

I did. A main part? Not in the show I watched. She was one of the lovely ladies and she sang one song after the bows at the finale.

Kimberley had a fortnight to rehearse 2 songs. Stars who take over lead roles in the West End can get the same time to rehearse 3 or 4 songs, learn all their acting lines and perfect a dance routine or two.

She did do well but it was only one performance not 8 shows a week.

I wasn't sure how I'd get on seeing two shows in one day but they are so totally different that it worked really well. You'll have a great time
