Vertical RGB shift on Toshiba LCD
Not really a major problem, but a minor irritation nonetheless...
I've noticed on my newish Toshiba 37X3030DB, when watching an RGB source such as Sky+, DVD or my Freeview PVR through AV1 (the only RGB Scart), the picture shifts up the screen a little and so is no longer vertically centred. It's most noticeable when watching a letterboxed film (the black bar at the top appears smaller than the one at the bottom), or anything with graphics near the top of the screen which appears too close to (or sometimes over) the edge. If the source is composite through the same input, the position is fine (although with worse picture quality). Using the integral DTT tuner, it's also okay. I can't see anything under the settings menu other than the Vertical Screen Position option, which is disabled for 16:9 viewing. Has anyone else had similar problems or found a solution? Any help would be gratefully received. |
