yeah...this thread is for those that have already watched/peeked. So its ok...
I was a bit surprised that Carly was in the bottom 3thought it would have been Chikezie or Syesha but figured Syesha fans would bounce her back. I'm ok with Amanda going and lol...to the comment in the other thread about it being because of her DUI. Uh...its because she was a crap singer! The thing is people under estimate her. She has the silent voters with majority been off line than on line. Speaking with my US friends and family who are AI addicts and do not go on line. I was estatic that she made the top 10 cut. Now she should let it all hang out regardless of what happens. The same sentiments applies to Chikezie. As for Carly, Last week my comment was she is 'too needy and desparate'. This week I said her back-chat would lose her supporters-and it did. She is boardering on 'entitlement' and 'am better than everyone'. If she sold only 400 CD's what makes it any different this time? For me she does not connect and am not sure which genre of music she fits in too. Nice enough voice though. I was not suprise that she was in the bottom 3. Amanda was one of my picks to go as there was nothing else there. I do not think it has any thing to with DUI. As I am also perceptive, maybe production wants to keep in certain genre's as it would make them more money on the tour. Kristy is the only country singer, Syesha is the only female Smooth Jazz & blues/R&B singer. Similar to Chikezie(male). As for Ramiele she applies to the Asian market who are into soul ballads. They also have a rock and roll singer in David C so maybe there was no need for Amanda. ![]() Here is what's likely to happen next week; Production or voters will be taking a closer look at the R & B types. Syesha, Chekezie, Rameile, Michael Johns( this is the genre he wants to fit into) and maybe David A. This will be the test and where the elimination might come from. I could also include Carly who fits in the middle. I will be suprise if she goes yet. David A is safe though. But how safe until people are completely bored. ![]() Hope you all are having a great day. ![]() Regards Babeth |

Well Simon did say to Kristy that she'd finish in 10th place 3 weeks ago so without a doubt she'll be out next.

I was surprised to see Amanda go, but not that surprised. I thought Kristy deserved to stay less than the rest.
Carly belonged in the bottom 3. Others were equally deserving, but she really did put in an attrocious performance. I say this because, although she has one of the better voices in this seasons competition, she makes a habit of misusing her voice, and is therefore not one of the better singers. It doesn't matter if you have a cheap keyboard or a good solid mid-range one, if you don't know how to play it well it wont sound good.....the same applies to voices. I am glad Carly stayed, because she has the most potential to put in a better performance if she gets the right song and stops trying too hard. |

I did not know that. Anyway, if he said that maybe the producers know what they want to happen. This is just my view. ![]() Regards Babeth |

I have so many favourites this year - I thought that Carly was the best last night (I usually value Simon's opinions but what the hell was he on about with her choice of song, it's one of my favourite songs of all time
....followed by David Cook and in no particluar order David A, Jason and Amanda. I definitely think the standard this year is amazing - last nights show was great - and this from a huge Beatles fan who normally can't stand anyone attempting a Beatles cover (maybe it's because and XF contestants that have attempted one have been so bad!) |
