I appreciate Tamara's hard work as well.
I miss Calrissian but that's history now I guess.
When they gonna let Winston Smith out of room 101 ?

I have to admit I don't really find that these forums are very easy to get to know people very well on... I think they're too strict with the rules and stuff, so the minute a debate gets going away from Big brother they close the thread and you never get to learn any other facets of someone's personality. I know that these forums are for BB chat, but it just seems a bit extreme and OTT.

Anyway, rant over, I'll plump for Ben4321 cos he gave me lots of support last night on my countdown thread!!!

Why dont you try the General Discussion and Chatter Ds forums? They tend to go of subject and ramble on about all sorts.

You get to know people a lot better there. I've even made a couple of real life mates from there.

Hmmm... so many people whose work I am lovin'! I can't narrow it down to one, and I'm bound to miss out loads I'll wish I'd mentioned, but...

A few that immediately spring to mind, in alphabetical order, are:
bystander - consistenly entertaining, challenging and readable
Eejay - can't agree on the Jon thing, but utter fabulousness nonetheless!
faequeen - never a word wasted, spot on and a greatly entertaining writer with a wicked sense of humour!

I've also been really amused by and enjoyed
Schnauzer Bites
posts recently!

Fair enough... though I don't really see the point. I go to other forums and the rules are so much less strict. Here if you say one vaguely offensive thing to someone you get a blimming warning (yes, I'm on a last warning and I don't even understand why really) for being rude... It's not like people are trading random insults. They might trade a slight insult based on provocation, but I'm sure we can all deal with that???

I was having a discussion with a guy last night and he started getting rude, i must admit. But I was quite enjoying the discussion. Five minutes later he was banned and the discussion was over.

I must admit things have got a lot stricter. I was actually subjected to some pretty offensive personal abuse on Chatter and it was all posted while I wasnt there to defend myself. I know several people reported it and all that happened was some of the posts were deleted and the guy got an email slap on the wrist even though it was far more personal, spiteful, vicious and abusive than anything I've seen on DSBB.

I agree, it is very suffocating on this forum and it's a shame! I'm all for controlling the trolls, but off topic threads are a good thing as far as I'm concerned.

As far as I can tell, the whole world is room 101, if Cameron being classed as a good guy is anything to go by.

Never mind the rats. Room 101 is having your eyelids taped open while a video of Cameron leaving the house last is played over and over and over

For making me laugh out loud - often - the award is shared between bob.stone & Mesostim: silver to Pitman & Dizzyblonde.

The 'OMG that's exactly what I think ' award goes to Mavis B Sausage who says what I want to say much better than I can.

There's loads of others that I look out for though, especially Minisidewalk, Skazza, Eejay, Swingaleg, Alrightmate, Boardmarker - they're all part of the reason that I love this forum.

i like reading a lot of posters here, and that includes some who take opposite views from me. I find it almost impossible to pick any one person. So I'm not going to mention any names, it's the many different viewpoints, variety of posting styles and glimpses of the personalities behind them that for me is what makes DSBB such an enjoyable discussion forum.

A sad thing for me though about the widely felt boring crapness of BB4 is that it has turned off many excellent big posters from last year, who have largely not bothered or gone away again once it became apparent that BB4 was going to be a relatively dull dismal affair hardly worth being passionate over.
