much as the cam-fans use his surviving eviction several times as an indicator of a large fan-base i still have my doubts his "positive" support is that solid! - alex-fans claimed he had a huge "positive" support last year and were very much proven wrong on the final night.

Pasta is right in that it will, in part, depend on who goes on thursday and any subsequent transfer of support. also, while cam seemed to beat nush resoundingly last night much of that was not due to cam-fans (tho the extremes of some having companies' work-phone-lines on redial - vote nush - undoubtedly helped.) but due to people who didn't like nush for many reasons. many scott-fans (teens) voted for nush out of jealousy, others weren't particularly fond of her percieved flirtiness/manipulation...etc. much of the supposed cam-fan-base lies with the older viewer who tends to be much more restrained in only casting 1-5votes....the demographic likely to be supporting scott and ray are far more likely to vote more often. tis even possible that cam/steph natural voters (jesus, help them) will be split!

this week's vote requires a "positive" vote, the only hm/former hm who has tried and tested that in BB4 is Jon!

while ideally i would love to see either cam/steph go on the thursday night (to wipe the smugness from their faces) it would be better if it were either scott/ray at that point as then the teeny/etc transfer would probably go to the remaining guy!

it must also be bourne in mind that C4 does seem to be shifting slightly in their coverage of cameron...this shift may continue and if Jon were to ensure cameron was riled throughout the week then there may be too much bitching and threatening behaviour for them to edit 'cam as lovely' successfully! today i had a chat with a friend who has loved cam throughout (C4 only) she has started to revise her opinion merely by finally seeing the odd-betraying look from cam and also by virtue of having babysat last night in a house with E4 access...her turnaround may reflect others'!

more ought to also be made of cam's "in it for the experience" deal with his brother - julyan and his % (agent) deal and julyan touting cam around the media before he's out of the house.

i'd just prefer not to be defeatist till davina calls it...if too many people are then cam won't be stopped - i'd hate him to win because all of us have allowed ourselves to be sucked into a self-fulfilling prophesy!

Have to say that there are millions of us who don't think that this has been a terrible, terrible BB but then I guess it's horses for courses. I think each BB has been great but for very different reasons. Can't wait for Friday and roll on BB5

By all means, I'd be delighted if Cameron doesn't win, but underestimating his chances is as harmful as overestimating his chances.

I don't want to blow my own trumpet but I think the main reason I set out for Cameron's victory carries a degree of weight.

It is probable that we don't really know the extent of Cameron;s vote. Last night was perhaps the clearest sign, though there was (as Deerd said) a strong anti-Nush movement as well. The Lisa eviction proved nothing, and the infamous double eviction night is hard to analyse, with Fed and Jon supporters battling it out. (This was pre-BBA, remember, and in a straight fight Cameron may well have lost to Jon, if not Fed.) Also, he may share a proportion of Steph supporters, so the idea that Ray and Scott might cancel each other out is only part of the picture. Thus, there is still a lot to play for.

Although I think you are right that Cameron will win this Sham BB, Jason. I do remember being 99% sure in last's years final, that kate was going to win after being groomed for it, even though I wanted Alex to win at the time, but I was also just as sure that Jonny would be out first , and was shocked that he managed to come second. as were a lot of people. So maybe Scott will pip Cameron to the post, you never know.

i'm in no way questioning the weight of the reasons you have set out, indeed your's are far worthier than much of the supposition used by cam-fans...tho i guess people with lack of perception have to rely more on supposition (much the same way cam and steph did last night when bitching about Jon speaking to nush).

i have in part resigned myself to his winning (fair or, more likely, foul) nonetheless i refuse to believe that his solid "positive" fan-base is as large as some would like us to believe. while i do have a sinking feeling this year's winner may reflect this year's BB ...hope floats!

I reckon he will win, but he has nothing to offer his adoring public after Big Brother unless Songs of Praise or the God Channel is their bag.

That's good for the rest of us as he'll most likely be the first winner not to make a tv career out off the back of Big Brother and we'll never have to see him again unless it's in our nightmares.

Nush received just over 200,000 votes two weeks ago, against the might of public favourite Gos. This week, she got 951,000. I think it is reasonable to assume that most of that extra three-quarters of a million votes were NOT engendered by anything she has or has not done in the house since then. She's ALWAYS giggled/interrupted/given unbelievably cretinous nomination reasons; is someone asking me to believe that, say, 300,000 people have only just noticed? Because if they are, I'm not buying it. Cameron can be seen to command a sizable army of votes, and presumably they can afford to do it all again this week.

That's a good point but there could be several reasons why Nush got so many more votes this time round. Since she went up against Gos, there's been the Nush/Scott angle which resulted in the kiss. That might have pissed off the Scott teenies out there and people who thought she was out of order for kissing another bloke while she had a boyfriend.

It might be because Cameron and Steph started focusing their bitching on Nush and their fans followed suit and respnded by picking up the phone. Or it might be because she was up against the housewives favourite.

I personally think it was a combination of all those things but what do I know? I'm not a jealous teeny or a housewife.

agreed^^^...it became a consistent/concerted/contrived/manipulative attempt by cam and steph to undermine nush both in the house and to the GBP...insidious and venomous

and let's not forget cam's expressed desire to suffocate her!

The large majority of votes are from tweenies who see Cameron as 'the perfect gentlemen' and an 'ideal dad'.

It's sickening, Cameron is the sort of fellow I'd stay well away from in real life for fear of assault.
