Humax Support asked me to carry out a Default Settings reset, on both my Humax 9200s.

See the procedure below.

When step 6. was carried out, the humax tried to reboot, but after the 'loader' was seen on the TV screen, the TV screen remained blank.
The Humax had only 4 dashes on its front display.

After 5 minutes like this, I tried switching off the rear switch for 5 mins, but when switched on again, the Humax/TV ended up in same situation.

I now have a dead Humax.

Anyone any ideas how to repair it?

1. Press MENU
2. Select Installation and press OK
3. Enter your password (default = 0000)
4. Select Default setting and press OK
5. Select YES and press OK
6. Enter password
The receiver will now take 20-30 seconds and then restart. When it boots up it will enter the Automatic Search. Please press OK immediately to STOP the search. Press OK twice and then follow below to search for the channels manually

Hello Barry

Neither of the suggestions were successful.

Both ended up with TV screen blank and the Humax display with 4 dashes shown.

Guess I will have to wait until Humax support opens on Tuesday.
