except the tariffs at no point were "dire" - £45 per month for 600 minutes, 600 texts, free evening weekends and unlimited internet. That's anything but dire, ironically, and you will know, i always thought until recently that orange were quite literally scamming the hell out of their customers in regards to tariffs, but that's my opinion.
i dont get the problem in paying for the iphone, your getting an ipod touch plus a phone. It's not like just getting a phone for free on a contract, because it's a standalone object which is actually an entire other product if not even used as a phone. It replaces the need to buy an ipod - i really dont see the problem in having up an upfront charge for the luxury
dont get me wrong, i hate apple, i just happen to have fallen in love with the iphone, i ended up with one by accident basically, plus they have knocked £10 off the tariffs pretty much, so thats even better news
i still dont get why people think the phone is lacking so many things, im pretty confident at least 50% of the people who dont like it havent even touched one. after five months, everyone i come who comes into contact with mine still plays with it like theyve never seen it before, i cant think of any other phone that actually captures people attention as much
