Wow! What a show and how emotional for all the girls involved!
Jodie is by miles the best fit to play Nancy! Great voice big personality and brings a smile to all that see her! |

I like Francesca. I saw her in Rent and she was great. I also liked Nancy Nancy but obviously she's gone now.

The only one I can remember now is Cleopatra. I'll reserve judgement though.

Well it would have been Nancy but as she has gone I think Jodie would make a good Nancy.
Will have to see them all properly though until I make a final decision. |

I love Jodie she is what Nancy is all about but unfortunately there is already a chosen one and that is FRANCESCA.

I'd love to see Fran win but I can't agree that she is "the chosen one"
I think you'll find that some of the "professionals" only enter these things because they are given ultimatums by their agents. |

which nancy
Jessie is going to grow so much as this show progresses I know someone who saw her in school productions and Carolsel and they say she is the real deal and left them gobsmacked at the end of the performance, Shes a comet that only passes our way once in a life time.Congrats for spotting the fleeting glances weve got so far, voting might be stacked against her as cannot vote from Ireland.

True Nancy was 17 in the original Dickens novel but that was when life expectancy was very short. Most died at 40 years old. By todays life spans Nancy would be in her 30's !

I see where you are coming from abotu Nancy's age- but unless they are updating the time period then surely thats a bit irrelevant? If we set it as Dicken's specified then Nancy is supposed to be 17, regardless of life expectancy now.
Of course, that doesn't mean we can't bend the boundaries a little! |

If we are going by that standard he also wrote Oliver came from a workhouse and I don't see any of the Olivers having that background.
![]() I though we were trying to find someone to 'act' the role? I wasn't suggesting we find a Nancy with an abusive husband, just someone nearish the orginal age-range! |

The trouble is a 17 year old in Dickens time had been working most of her life and her life experience was far greater than the majority of 17 year olds today.
To get that experience which is valid to play the part you will need to go for an older girl and hence I see the younger ones below 20 not being able to pull it off, |

I should be agreeing with you anyway- i'm rooting for one of the older girls!! |

Jodie Jodie and Jodie
It simply has to be Blackpool's Jodie. And whilst Im sure you'll all think I'm biased cause I live here, let me assure you I'm not - Jodie has the raw talent, larger than life, gusty personallity that both ALW and CM insist they are looking for.
And if you check the Bookies, Jodie is second from top at 6/1, with only the total professional, I've done this before, friends of DVO - Franceseca above her. Public of Britain - Back Jodie From Blackpool - We've already lost the casino - We must win this one! YOu Go All The Way Jodie - North Pier is right behind you! |

Just out of interest where did you get those odds from? I have tried some of the well known betting sites and cant seem to find any odds on I'll Do Anything??? |
