I like the 3 Irish girls and Sarah but don't dislike any of the others.

Looking forward to hearing them all sing fully and see if my opinion changes or not.

He said it because he was scripted to say it simple as that.

I am not yet familiar with their names. Anyone know who Lord Lloyd Webber was talking about as being fantastic out of the three younger girls?
Was it the white girl with longish dark hair or the black girl? I thought the larger black girl (not Cleopatra) was fantastic but I have a feeling the Lord mean't the white girl with curly hair.

Which one is Samantha Barks?

Samantha was one of the young girls called back to sing "As long as he needs me" for the panel in Andrews front room... pretty with long dark hair. She has by far the best voice of the four and although only 17, has had several lead roles in productions including Grease, Back to the 80s, Jeckyll & Hyde and Guys and Dolls... won an International song festival... released an album which she co-wrote... supported the Sugababes and Matt Willis... sang at a Strictly Dancing exhibition with Darren Bennett and Lilia Kopylova... featured in a rock video with blues band "Back Door Slam"...

exactly!
it was edited to make you think Cleopatra but more likely one of the others. They don't want to give away the game too soon.

Well with all due respect I think she did all that on the Isle of Man, hardly Global is it? I wouldn't call her well known, unless you live on the isle of Man.

Great to see the power of the FMs working and we have a new sub section. I hope they set up the poll now.

I thought it was Jessie but have been told it was Niamh.

That's not the point of these shows. Unless a complete unknown is really outstanding in every sense, they are not going to take the risk.

Lee was a West End understudy and Connie was the veteran of many a supporting role and failed audition.

Sarah, lovely voice but would be amazed if she could ever get remotely in the ball park of a Nancy. She has the wrong look and rawness required for the role.

That's where acting and makeup come in.

Jodie is my favourite so far. I also liked Ashley and Niamh (was she the young girl who sang last?) Niamh probably had the best voice but she sang a boring song last night and I'm not sure she is right for Nancy. Jodie is the one who has the warmth, the womanliness, and the personality, without going too OTT in her performance, to be a convincing Nancy.

Sam all the way! Hope she does a different style of song next week though to show her versatility
