Sony Surround Sound help

Hi,

I was recently clearing out my old House and found this old Sony Surround System, it is a Dav S550. It was in good condition so I decided to hook it up to a spare t.v. the surround sound works well when a dvd is playing. However I would like the surround sound to work when watching normal T.V. i.e. channel 1 - 5 etc is this possible?

Any Help would be greatly appreciated.

you need a tv with an RCA output (red and white connection L/R) to connect to the aux in on the dav or a scart to phono connection from AV2 to the dav.

Dont pin you hopes on it being much good, the volume on those things is poor at best.
