oooh, Old school remote there - it's the one I had while at uni

I have found it doesn't work with much new stuff, and has limited memory to upgrade with new codes (which need (officially) an analogue phone and some spectrum style noises) and limited learning memory.

Go for a Sony RM-VL600T I have got two of them and can't fault them for the price, not many gadgets impress me but these are the bees knees!!!!!
