Just smashed my phone :-(
Hey guys,
Was lying in bed, watching TV with my phone at my side. I changed channel and threw the remote away. The remote landed on my n95 and has smashed the huge screen ![]() This now puts me in the hands of carphone whorehouse. Anybody know how good or bad their insurance company is a repairing / replacing the phone? Kinda hoping I get it back before next weekend? Will CPWH be open tomorrow / today (Bank Hol Monday?) Many thanks and one major OOOPS! Ooops |

OOOOOOOOOOOO, thats bad!
CPRH is open tomorrow, well here in Bradford it is. I remember taking my phone for repair once, got it back 7 days later, good service but could be quicker. I suppose it depends on how many other phones need repairing at the time. |

That could break any phones screen quite easily i guess, but i hear the N95 has an unusually sensitive screen as in it breaks really easily. I got a mate who had his fall out of his pocket and hit the floor. Most phones would survive that small distance, but his didnt, cracked screen!

lol, i cant believe it, i did EXACTLY the same thing about 3 months ago. I changed channel and dropped my sky remote and it landed on my Nokia N95 screen and smashed it.
Anyway, i repaired mine myself. Its very easy. I bought a screen off ebay for about £25 (which was less than my insurance XS) and then replaced it myself. Its only a couple of screws to change it. If you google it are plenty of guides on how to do it! |

I must be lucky, i have dropped my N95 a few times on the floor and it just bounced.
No damage! I must be very lucky.

I dont get any phone repaired (must admit i have never broken any, had faulty ones in the past which got replaced at the shop the came from). But, if i did have one completely break, i'd replace it with a new one. No repair costs or wait times and its so much quicker and easier

Just a small update...
Took my phone to the local CPWH today and was met by THE most unenthusiastic and miserable sales lady ever. Barely spoke to me, just tapped away on her keyboard, mumbling questions at me and made me feel quite uncomfatable, as though I was inconveniencing her by being there!! Where I asked her about the N95 8GB as my contract was nearly up she told me that all the info was on the net!! Just completely ignored my buying signals!! WHORE!!! Lol, cant be sure she was a whore but she does fit the nickname carphone whorehouse!! Ooops - the man with a 6230i!! |
