Samsung U600 problem
Hey,
My U600 has now started freezing if i write a text and will then restart itself and return to the main menu, loosing the text that i wrote. It seems to be only if it is on predictive text. Does anyone know any way to resolve this? Thanks, Cleo |

Does it happen when you are deleting an incorrect spelling or at any time ?

At any time. It tends to let me type out a few words and then it will just go..

It sounds like a software problem to me, if it is still within warranty i would take it back to your network provider and get it checked out or if you have insurance i need say no more

It's not within warranty anymore unfortunately and it is not insured either..
Only thing I can do to resolve my problem is to text without predictive text. But thank you for your help. |

Ah, well it is reassuring to know Im not the only one ha.. I have actually found a few posts on other sites with the same problem.
I still like this phone, even if I have had it for a while. But maybe I should get a new one too

I have just hung up the phone with Orange as my mums handset does the same as above. I was told the following statement.
"There is an ongoing issue with this handset. Orange are working close with Samsung to fix the problem. There is no timescale for a fix. As a temp fix customers are advised to turn off the T9 function. Customer service staff are not to replace the handset as this will not fix the fault." I am a bit miffed as she got it from the Catalogue but there systems as down until tomorrow. Should i be able to request a replacement from them? |

I don't see why you cant??
I'm with 02 not Orange, so not sure how Orange are with issues like that... but cant imagine them being too nice so good luck with that I have had my phone off T9 for about a month now and it still has the same problem.. |

Unfortunately, this is a well known issue with the phone. There is little point swapping the phone because the new one will develop the same fault. Given the other faults with the phone, I would see if you could exchange for a different make.
