Grow up not everyone has to be "right on " left wing - if you want toknow how pathetic it can be look up Ben Elton in the eighties all left wing and right on . Childish 6th form nonsense.

It's a joke because it's a joke... There's no double standards. If Cam said something that was a joke we'd say exactly the same.

If anyone is going to change their views on Jon because he leans to the right, then you obviously didn't know him very well to begin with, because that was f'n obvious.

Double standards again

So every time Jon says something offensive it's just a joke but any other HM making a bitchy or offensive remark and it's a criminal offence worthy of corporal or capital punishment.

Respect to those Jon fans who have a less blinkered view of things and admit that he too has his dark side.

Jon = Saint, Cam = Devil brigade = bigotted, hate-fuelled fanatics.

Come to think of it. Isn't that the seeds of fascism
”

I have no idea what your post means! Are you accusing the official site of having double standards? Or are they the fascists?! Maybe you would like to read the post that you are criticising once again?

i've always suspected that Jon is someone i'd sometimes find it difficult to be around and i have little doubt that he and i would disagree with a lot in relation to politics...BUT his 'fascist' comment was tongue-in-cheek!!!!

also, i don't see how Jon making that comment in regard to himself can be considered "bitchy" or "offensive". if taken seriously (by the less perceptive viewers ) then the only person to be undermined by said comment would be Jon himself - ergo vastly different from the comments/actions/bitching undertaken by cam and steph!

while Jon is no saint (noone is unless you allow for cam's self-delusions) he's the man who this afternoon declared himself to be 'pro-choice' re: abortion - fascist views? i KNOW not!

steph on the other hand declared herself to believe that women who got pregnant (jeez she didn't even have the intelligence to at least temper it with a recognition of different circumstances - rape etc) had made their beds so they should lie in them - retrograde/right-wing views? i KNOW so!

and cameron's conspicuous silence on the subject spoke volumes

Were you really? Oh golly gosh, what a shame.

Get a grip mate, your full text says that you are lying. How can you go from being 'Jons biggest fan' to saying that he is a little boring **** who can rot in hell? You dont like him? Thats fine, just dont lie to make people join you in your so called outrage.

HAHA, I havent seen any posts by this joke before. If he has posted before, is it worth reading?

Huh?! Your post does not make sense.

Why would Jon stating his political views be offensive?
Why is it 'double standards' if it was a joke?

(Because you want it to be because you don't like him?!)

Double standards indeed!

I don't think you understand the meaning of the term 'double standards'. It does not apply here. Jon made a joke, the official site reported it, I referred a poster to the official site.

As for blinkered views... You are actually the one who is trying to read a negative into the posts you don't agree with!
”

Sorry but where did it say it was a joke? Did Jon say it was a joke? How do you know it was a joke?

I do know the meaning of double standards. Should do after reading some of the pro-Jon posts in this forum over the last few weeks.

I watched it. It was a joke. It was said tongue in cheek. The producers think it was a joke. They wrote about it being a joke on the official page. Several posters watched it. They are not disputing it was a joke. It was a joke.

I have fairly left wing views but have been a Jon fan from the very beginning despite his "declared" political views.

I think many of his stated opinions when he was originally in the house were an attempt to provoke some sort of discussion from the other housemates about any subject deeper than the next answer to the "who am I" game.
In any case, it made very little impact on a gaggle of boring housemates either with sawdust between their lugs or splinters up their a*ses.

In real life situations, Jon has always struck me as extremely fair. His attitude towards the women when Ray's teasing overstepped the mark was at all times laudable. Most of us laideez like to be treated as equals when it comes to payscales etc. but are perfectly willing to be protected from any real or potential harm by any chivalrous knight who comes our way. Double standards perhaps, I know.
I've never seen Jon treat anyone in the house with disrespect or contempt.
The only housemate left in the running who comes even close to Jon's level of conduct in this regard is Scott but he's incapable of holding a discussion about anything for fear of revealing too much of himself. Sadly enough if he'd allow his guard to fall just once I might be persuaded to like him enough to vote.

Sorry Caprice but your post makes even less sense.

Right wing fascism is offensive.
Who said it was a joke?
Who said I don't like him?

My posts are not a personal attack on Jon but more a reaction to the extreme and biaised views of others. I thought that would have been obvious

The only one proving himself/herself to have extreme views on things here is you I'm afraid. You're showing an incredible amount of ignorance.

The meaning of your posts is not obvious as you reply to posters without reading their view! You do not seem to be able to comprehend the gist of this thread - that Jon made a joke.

Why are you insisting repeatedly that Jon is a 'right wing fascist'?! Isn't that a rather strange thing for you to be doing? Where is your proof of this?

It was so obviously a joke, I cant believe people cant see it. Jon is no way on earth a facist. I think the whole thing with Jon is you either get him or you dont. If you dont get him then nothing anyone else says will convince you.

Jons comments are based on our very British self-depreciating humour and most of it is aimed at laughing at himself.

Have to agree with the comments about his views on abortion, race and religion are definitely not the views of someone to the right politically.

If pretending to take seriously a joke that Jon made is the only straw the Jon haters can grasp to troll about, them more power to Jon!

Ah, thats right, looking through your previous posts its obvious that they are not a personal attack on Jon. I totally apologise, youve not attacked him once, and youve never pounced on the most pathetic snippet, have you?

I didn't see it but the ticker earlier was talking about the task. Jon said he was going to make his views right wing so the HMs would be able to guess what he said correctly.

After he said that they got a warning from Big Brother about colluding on the task, and were told if there there were any more attempts to 'cheat' they'd fail automatically.

Yeah I edited it together, but the posts follow the thread structure, the only change that could be made is to change “pp replies with" to "pp then says".

Either way my point was to show your insistence in questioning whether it was a joke, when everyone was saying it was a joke.
