'Text a friend' beware
_amanda_

Please be aware there is text currently doing the rounds which states something along the lines of - Send this message to 20 friends and you will get *free stuff* from O2.

This is not a message from O2 and if you receive such a text you should delete it immediately.

Where did you get that from? It says ...which states...

Anyway, if you sent it to 20 friends, at normal rate that would cost £2, so even it if was true, it wouldnt be, becuase its not free.

I'd hope nobody would fall for this. O2 would gain nothing out of it, and a large organisation certainly wouldn't partake in chains of any kind whether they are letter, text or email.

This is so annoying, i've had 4 of these texts now. I didn't realise people were that thick!

Did it not occur to the first person who received it that it didnt come from o2 before they passed it on?

Obviously not. But then if people were that smart chain emails wouldn't exist either. Those really are the bane of my life - send this on to 10 people now or you will spontaneously combust!
