You are wriggling now, the question stands. If it is a fault that can only be experienced on an activated phone. How can you claim the phone has never been activated?
And if you didn't tell them the fault, how would they know what to fix?
They aren't daft, you know. They are aware people unlock phones.
To pretend you haven't done something is dishonest.
